A running animation I did last year for a flash game I worked on. It involved a little flea kid that lived on a Saint Bernard.
Happy National Dog Day!
I don’t have a dog anymore but I used to have one of the best dogs that had ever lived! To fill the void, I now harass random dogs I see on the street :B
And hell yes I used to dress my dog up in ballerina outfits…
Practice from a photo I took on my way home from the train station. Not much left of the Guadalupe River in San Jose. Used to be a huge river that different types of salmon swam through to spawn. Now there’s nothing but a bunch of bums and hoodlums that hang around here.
Went to the skull exhibit at the California Academy of Sciences and did some sketching. It was a really awesome exhibit and I hope to come back again before it ends to draw more. Loved seeing all the different variations of skulls. The skull in the drawing belongs to a labrador retriever (thought it was the Grey Wolf skull at first)
Just a few things I did last year for the Snow White world in Disney Hidden Worlds.
All of the character pins that pop up in the game to unlock the animation were done by me (except Beauty and the Beast). I had to design the pins for each world. For Snow White I used carved wood with forest animal motifs. I also got to paint and polish some variations of the scary trees from the forest. Original designs were by another artists but re-paints/variations were done by me.
Quick composition/lighting study done during lunch. Having a short lunch really helps light a fire under your ass to get going and churn these out since you’re so limited on time.
I plan on taking this to a finish eventually.
Buildings can be tricky to draw… Surprisingly not the most favorite thing to draw for artists
Was cleaning out my laptop and found some old work from school (circa 2011-2012) that I have forgotten about. This was for a fun assignment where we had to create a new character for an existing animated film. I chose Kung Fu Panda and created a Binturong Bandit. Binturongs have long bushy prehensile tails so I wanted the character to use it as a tool or a weapon.
Fun Fact: Binturongs smell like popcorn!
Work in progress for my personal project. Still painting in Augustus McCoy (main character) and designing a look for his daughter (totally forgot her name…). Left the arms out for now since they “get in the way” for me lol!
Wanted his daughter to have the widows peak hairline and the mole (opposite side) just like her dad. More to come soon.
