Quick peek of a work in progress. Started painting in the daughter of the main character. I originally omitted her since she was a very minor character but brought her back in because I had fun drawing/painting her. Plan on fixing the pose more and still deciding on what the hell she’s holding.
Some animal drawings from a while back. The neck on that giraffe is totally broken.
Quick 30 minute study/warm up of a landscape painting by John Alexander White.
Grandma saved an old drawing that I did when I was 5… The Lion King was one of my all time favorites!
Should clarify that I didn’t do this from my head! My mom got me “The Art of the Lion King” book after we saw the movie. I loved to look at all the artwork and tried to re-draw while looking at the images… I think that’s where my love for drawing wildlife came from.
Quick master study done during lunch… So rusty on these yet they’re so helpful.
Original painting by Isaac Levitan.
EDIT (a couple hours later): Geeze, I gave him a big dome.
Todays theme at work for lunchtime doodle was Pokemon!! I ended up with Sandslash… We’re all about the 151 OG Pokemon!!
Unused concept for an Inkling Achievement in Disney Hidden Worlds. I forgot what exactly the achievement was. The whole idea was for the trophy to feel as if it were hand crafted by the Inklings.
More people sketching/stalking @ Philz Coffee. I keep drawing that same barista dude… He must be creeped out by me.

"YOU CANNOT RESIST MY CUTE" -Puppy
Took this a little further during lunch… Planning on adding some more details and fixing up the lighting here and there and then moving on.
A running animation I did last year for a flash game I worked on. It involved a little flea kid that lived on a Saint Bernard.
Happy National Dog Day!
I don’t have a dog anymore but I used to have one of the best dogs that had ever lived! To fill the void, I now harass random dogs I see on the street :B
And hell yes I used to dress my dog up in ballerina outfits…
Practice from a photo I took on my way home from the train station. Not much left of the Guadalupe River in San Jose. Used to be a huge river that different types of salmon swam through to spawn. Now there’s nothing but a bunch of bums and hoodlums that hang around here.
Went to the skull exhibit at the California Academy of Sciences and did some sketching. It was a really awesome exhibit and I hope to come back again before it ends to draw more. Loved seeing all the different variations of skulls. The skull in the drawing belongs to a labrador retriever (thought it was the Grey Wolf skull at first)
